6. Retirement: weve worked for it all of our lives and looked forward to it as a time of reward and relaxation. Now it’s upon us and we need to ensure that we have something focused to do with that time. Our adult years are often so busy living, working, taking care of our kids, and being involved with our communities. Two of those major things are now gone – kids and work. What will we do with all of that time and have we made a plan for our retirement so we don’t stagnate or plant ourselves in that rocking chair too early? Whether you are in retirement now or you are approaching it, writing is such a great way to reflect back upon our lives and remember all those fond milestones and accomplishments. There is a lifetime to contemplate, reflect and write about. Having the time to now do that and put it on paper is an excellent way to share your stories and the things you have learned. There is also more time to travel and get active in various causes or even volunteer. What great things to write about.
When youre testing nursery glider models, try to go to a store and sit in the chair and glide in it. Thats the best way to tell if a glider seat fits you comfortably. Some Gliders have plushy seats, others have firmer seating. Also, consider getting a glider with a generous seat and arms that fits you well. Both of these features are very important because youre likely to use a nursing pillow since you will find that its a great place for you and your baby. Also consider the backseat since you will need the support. A great feature you should consider is a reclining seat, since you will continue to use your glider once your baby is grown up. With hundreds of fabric options you may choose a fabric to coordinate with the rest of the nursery decor or a neutral colored fabric that may fit in any room décor. You may also consider a glider with an option for a slip cover, so you can have a new glider by just replacing the slip cover and not the whole glider.
Safety: This is probably a factor that is paramount to most parents when choosing baby furniture. Every parent wants to rest assured that furniture they choose for their child is made using only natural materials, and that the item is made using the kind of craftsmanship that makes it fully safe for a child to use. Also a parent wants to be sure that no toxic materials are used to make anything that is used by the baby, and this is most certainly true for Amish baby cribs. The kind of wood used, the kind of varnish or finishing used is always excellent quality and therefore completely safe for baby to use.
