It is made from solid beech with stained beech veneers. The Winsor crib by Bassett is a slightly grander affair. The headboard has a rounded top that flattens out on the ends. It also has subtle carved detailing. What is a very nice is that the two front legs taper at the bottom. It is constructed from pine.

Whereas to begin with, for the first couple of years you need a child bed that protects the child from falling and also prevents him from getting out by himself and wandering about, later these requirements will change. When a child becomes a toddler, and is able to get out of his or her crib it can be dangerous not to move them into a toddlers bed because there is the apprehension of the child getting hurt as he or she tries to get out.
